Life Path

A ridge of white marble rises and falls through sharp peaks and quiet valleys: a life path. On it rests a sphere of lapis lazuli, the present moment, our place along the way. The piece is interactive. The sphere can be moved anywhere on the ridge, and wherever it is placed, it finds its balance. The path seems to have no beginning or end, as if it were only one stretch of a longer route in one of the multitude of possible universes. What matters is the blue sphere: here, now, at rest wherever it is.
