Hyperbolic Owl
Perched atop a tall column of wood, an alabaster form folds and turns through space. Its surfaces curve away from themselves in ways that recall non-Euclidean geometry, where lines bend and planes open into saddles. Look again and an owl appears: the rounded crown of the head, a deep opening like a watchful eye, the hunch of a bird at rest. The piece holds both readings at once, part mathematics and part creature, and it shows a new face from every angle as the viewer walks around it.
